Crater Lake National Park

We recently made a day-trip to Crater Lake National Park. Although David and I had visited the park before, we’ve never been there together. My last time at Crater Lake was about 15 years ago. It’s been too long.

We drove around the lake and stopped at most viewpoints. It was a cool and sunny day, perfect for seeing the blue color of the lake.

Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States. The lake situated inside a caldera formed about 7,700 years ago when Mt Mazama collapsed after a major eruption. It is difficult to truly capture the beauty of Crater Lake in words or through pictures Its sheer size and the deep blue color really have to be seen in person.
